Founded by Leah Stevens, the team at Encore Events mastermind, customise and organise once-in-a-lifetime events for people and businesses just like you. 

The team pride themselves on minimising the stress that comes along with organising a big event, from Weddings, to Corporate Functions, Conferences to Social Soirees! You can have peace of mind in knowing that professionals are taking care of all the details while you relax, and enjoy spending quality time with your family, friends and guests.

We caught up with Leah to learn more about what happens behind the scenes while creating signature events that bring your visions to life.

What is something that you enjoy the most about the work that you do/the industry that you work in?

The people! My answer will always be the people. Communicating, watching people interact and getting to know our clients is the best part of our job. We see people at their very best, their most stressed and everything in between! Its a privilege to be allowed to come along and be a part of their journey. 

Having relationships within the industry is also so important! This always sheds light on where we should be heading with upcoming trends and the direction to take with our styling, colour palette and furniture selections, to be able to keep things fresh to showcase across our social media and blog as we move into each season.

What is something that people might find surprising about the work that you do/the industry that you work in?

We are strong! The amount of furniture and stock we move from A-B is amazing. A lot of our range of furniture is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, they’re made of high quality materials to ensure they can last for many uses and endure the seasons which means they can get heavy! We can lift things most of our clients struggle to believe.

What's something that's coming up next for your business?

We are in the process of, and really excited to be increasing our stock of furniture and event decor available to Hire & Style for your upcoming weddings and events! Also expanding our focus into the conference and expo market across the Dunedin and Southland regions, and looking forward to a wide range of exciting events coming up throughout 2024!
